Rental Information

  • Do you offer the convenience of a long-term lease?

    Our units are rented on a month-to-month basis, which allows customers the flexibility to rent for whatever time period is needed. Customers with long-term needs may prepay 6 months or 12 months and receive a 5% or a 10% rental payment discount respectively.

  • Will I need to insure the things I store in my space (unit)?

    Yes. You are responsible for what you store at STOR-N-LOCK and you must agree to provide insurance. You may be covered under your homeowner's policy - check with your insurance agent to be sure. If not, you can purchase affordable storage insurance at the STOR-N-LOCK office.

  • Your selected space - What is the size of my space?

    The size of space (unit size) is approximate and spaces may vary from the quoted size due to wall thickness and other physical structure surrounding the space. Please allow several inches and up to one foot of variance when calculating the size that you need.

  • Can I change my storage unit to a different size after I have already moved in?

    If the unit size you want is available at your facility, then yes, you can move into another unit. Your local store manager will be able to assist you in that transition.

  • What is the “Refer A Friend” program?

    If you know someone who could use some extra space, we’d love for you to spread the word! We’ll give you $50 off your storage bill and we’ll give your friends a free padlock and a great deal. All you have to do is go to STOR-N-LOCK.com/refer-a-friend and provide us with the email addresses of friends you think might be in need of some STOR-N-LOCK space. Remember, the more you refer, the more everyone saves!

Payments

  • Are there charges other than my monthly rent amount?

    At the time of rental there is a one-time $20 processing charge. You may also purchase padlocks and boxes or other moving supplies that we offer for sale at the rental office. If your selected unit includes a Free Month discount, you may be requested to pay the balance of the current month to receive the first full month free. Speak with the store manager for complete details regarding specials and discounts.

  • What are the payment terms?

    Monthly rent is due on the first day of each month. STOR-N-LOCK strives to make your storage experience as convenient as possible, including paying your bill. Monthly payments can be made in-store, online, by phone or by mailing us your check. In-store payments can be made with cash, check or credit card. We can help you set up automatically withdrawn payments each month from your credit card account. Payments can be made online at STOR-N-LOCK.com from our Pay Online page.

  • Do you accept credit cards?

    We accept several major credit cards including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or American Express®.

  • Can I pay my bills online?

    Yes, paying your bill online is available through our Pay Online button located at the top of each location website page. You can set up automatic payments at any time by completing a Credit Card Authorization form at the facility or by logging into your account through the Pay Online button and selecting Set Up Your Account For Auto Payment. Follow the steps to complete this process. Your store manager is available to assist you by phone during regular business hours.

  • Do you offer an invoicing or payment reminder service?

    We do offer invoicing via email upon request. You will receive a payment reminder email ten (10) days prior to your due date.

Access

  • What’s the difference between Office Hours and Gate Hours?

    The Office Hours are the hours of operation for the property. During these hours, the manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The Gate Hours are the hours when your unit can be accessed.

  • What should I do if I forget my access code or lose the key to my lock?

    You should contact the property directly to let them know and to discuss what can be done.

  • Can anybody drive onto this property or do you need a PIN code?

    All of our facilities have an electronic gate system, which can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility. We recommend that you protect your PIN code from unauthorized access.

Reservations

  • How do I cancel my reservation?

    You can cancel your reservation by contacting or visiting the facility where the unit is reserved. Make sure to check for office hours so you’ll reach a manager who can work with you to cancel your reservation.

  • HOLD NOW or RESERVE

    There is NO CHARGE and NO OBLIGATION when you HOLD NOW or RESERVE a unit on this website. STOR-N-LOCK will hold the unit you select and LOCK IN the advertised rental rate for 5 days to allow time to talk or communicate with you about your reservation. Some sizes are high demand or have a limited time sale price and it may benefit you to place a unit on hold.

Store Information

  • What does “Resident Manager” or “Manager Lives Onsite” mean?

    Resident Manager means that an employee, the Manager, has an apartment on site as part of the facility. An onsite manager increases the security of the facility since there is someone there during non-business hours.

  • Storage unit types - What unit types do you offer?

    Drive-Up Access is a storage unit which typically opens onto a driveway and can be accessed within a few steps of your vehicle. It does not provide any climate control feature.


    Interior Hallway refers to a storage unit that is located off of the driveway inside a hallway. Some of these storage units are within 10 feet of your vehicle, while others may be a bit farther. A wheeled cart is available at most locations upon request. It does not provide any climate control feature.


    Climate Controlled is a feature that we offer at many of our facilities. Our “Heated & Cooled” climate controlled units maintain a temperature of 55 to 85 degrees. Our Hurricane, UT, facility also offers both evaporative cooled units without heat, AND Heated & Cooled Units. Severe hot or cold weather can damage items stored in units. This feature helps protect your belongings from extreme temperatures. Climate Controlled units are typically located in a 5’ wide hallway.


    Partial Climate Control – Only Our Palm Desert, CA, facility offers this feature. Several Drive-Up sizes stay somewhat cooler than a typical Drive-Up space due to the unit being surrounded on two or more sides by storage units that have the full Climate Controlled feature.


    RV Parking – This is an uncovered, outdoor parking space for RV’s or other wheeled vehicles, boats or camping trailers.

  • Do you offer RV/Boat/Car/Motorcycle parking?

    STOR-N-LOCK SELF STORAGE offers parking for RVs, boats, cars and motorcycles, but this is not a standard offering at all locations. Find the closest location to see if the service is available in your area.

  • What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?

    We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 5x5 (25 square feet) to 12x45 (540 square feet). Determining the right size is easy with the help of our Size Guide and the help of our managers who are trained to assist you in this process.

  • Do you have electrical outlets in your units?

    Our units do not typically have access to electrical power. Several of our large RV storage units have an outlet for an RV battery tender. Check with the store manager for details.

  • What kind of security do you have?

    STOR-N-LOCK takes great pride in protecting your belongings and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature electronic gates with coded access, video cameras, fenced and well-lit facilities, individual door alarms at many locations and personal locks available for purchase. These features vary by location, so contact the manager for details about a specific location.

  • How far in advance can I book a reservation?

    We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead.

  • Can I buy boxes and other packing products from STOR-N-LOCK SELF STORAGE?

    All STOR-N-LOCK facilities offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies that are available for purchase.
